About This Opportunity

The District 4 Scholarship is endowed and funded through the generosity of Sons of Norway District 4 to support members of the District in their educational or training endeavors. This scholarship celebrates Nordic culture and heritage through financial support to Sons of Norway members pursuing various levels of education including technical/vocational training, undergraduate studies, folk high school, and OISS programs. Awards up to $1,000 are provided for one year to help students further their career goals and educational dreams. The scholarship is open to District 4 members aged 17 and older who are citizens of the United States or Canada, and can be used at institutions in the United States, Canada, or Norway. Selection is based on academic potential, financial need, essays describing career goals and community involvement, and letters of recommendation from both a Sons of Norway lodge leader and school personnel or community member.
