Division of Developmental Pediatrics Humanism in Medicine Award

The Division of Developmental Pediatrics Humanism in Medicine Award is presented to a pediatrics resident physician with satisfactory academic standing, including on the Developmental Pediatrics rotation(s), in any year of residency in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on academic standing and demonstrated humanistic care through self-reflection, compassion and commitment to understanding the experiences of others. Preference is given to a pediatric resident physician who demonstrates altruism, respect and empathy to colleagues and allied health team members and who models resilience and self-compassion through a commitment to work-life balance and self-care. This award recognizes excellence in humanistic medical practice among pediatrics residents.
