About This Opportunity

The Doctoral Entrance Scholarship is a $5,000 one-time award offered to first year PsyD doctoral students at Concordia University of Edmonton who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, scholarly productivity, and leadership potential in their field. Recipients must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or students with valid study permits who have achieved an admission GPA of 3.5 or higher. The scholarship recognizes students with strong letters of support, clear career objectives, research potential, clinical promise, and evidence of leadership and professionalism. Prospective PsyD applicants who are shortlisted for admission will be invited to submit a 250-word essay addressing their career objectives, research potential, clinical promise, and evidence of leadership. Applications are evaluated by CUE's Program Appeal Committee and presented to the Scholarship and Awards Committee. This scholarship may be held in conjunction with other internal or external funding sources, making it a valuable financial support option for incoming doctoral students who demonstrate an overall record of achievement that enhances the university's graduate student profile.
