Doctoral Programme (MRes+PhD) GTA Scholarship

The Doctoral Programme (MRes+PhD) GTA Scholarship is offered by Imperial College London's Business School for the 2025/2026 academic year. The scholarship provides comprehensive funding for doctoral students pursuing research in business-related fields. The program starts with a one or two-year Master's in Research (MRes) to provide strong theoretical grounding and thorough research training before progression to the PhD. Research areas available include Analytics and Operations, Economics and Public Policy, Finance, Management and Entrepreneurship, and Marketing. The scholarship provides full financial support including an annual stipend of £25,000 and covers full tuition fees at either the home or overseas rate. A total of 19 awards are available for this academic year. Applicants must demonstrate strong and consistent academic performance with high grades at undergraduate and Master's level, including a strong dissertation. UK graduates would normally need at least an Upper Second Class Honours degree at undergraduate level and a Master's degree awarded with Merit or Distinction. Candidates with a strong First Class Honours undergraduate degree without a Master's may be considered if accompanied by very strong academic references and outstanding CV and personal statement. Additionally, applicants must have obtained strong GMAT or GRE scores in the 90th percentile or higher across all elements of the exam.
