About this opportunity
The Doell Family Scholarship was established by the children of Bill and Mildred Doell to honor their parents' high ideals and service to North Central Washington. Both parents grew up and worked in Wenatchee and Eastern Washington, with Mrs. Doell serving as a teacher and Mr. Doell owning his own business for over 50 years.
This scholarship supports graduating seniors from North Central Washington high schools with special emphasis on students interested in pursuing careers in journalism or music. The scholarship committee seeks to recognize and support students who demonstrate both financial need and a strong work ethic, both in their academic pursuits and community involvement.
Eligible applicants must be graduating seniors from high schools in Chelan, Douglas, or Okanogan counties who plan to major in journalism or a music-related field. Recipients are selected based on financial need, academic promise as shown by grades, and demonstrated potential for scholastic achievement. The scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington.
