About this opportunity
The Donald E. Grierson Memorial Award is valued at a minimum of $1,000 and is provided annually to a full-time doctoral student registered in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo. The award recognizes students whose research in structural engineering aims to advance the analytical and/or numerical technologies and has the greatest potential for impact either at the societal or theoretical level. This scholarship has been established by the past students, friends and family in memory of Professor Donald E. Grierson. Preference is given to international students and to students who do not hold major external scholarships exceeding $15,000 per year at the time of being considered.
