Donald Franklin and Marilyn Good Holdren Scholarship

The Donald Franklin and Marilyn Good Holdren Scholarship honors Marilyn Good Holdren, who was born in 1938 in Chillicothe, OH, and dedicated her professional life to healthcare and scientific research. After receiving her education at Huntington High School and Franklin School of Science and Arts, she worked as a medical transcriptionist at Chillicothe Hospital for eight years before spending the remainder of her career at Battelle Memorial Institute. This scholarship continues her legacy by supporting students from Ross County, Ohio who are pursuing education in the medical or nursing fields. The scholarship is available to both full-time and part-time students attending educational institutions in the United States, with a minimum award of $1,000. Candidates must be residents of Ross County, Ohio, or graduates of a Ross County high school to be eligible.
