About this opportunity
The Doreen Bryant Memorial Indigenous Scholarship honours the late Doreen Bryant, who recognised the historical disadvantage experienced by First Nations peoples and strongly believed in the value of their knowledge systems and cultural contributions to Australia. In honour of her values and legacy, Doreen wished to establish a scholarship in her memory to support individuals of recognised Indigenous heritage seeking to advance their education or career. The scholarship is designed to support First Nations students pursuing undergraduate education at Swinburne University of Technology. The scholarship is valued at $10,000 per year for up to five years, including support for honours or master's level study in the fourth and fifth years. The scholarship aims to recognize and support the richness that First Nations knowledge brings to Australian culture while providing substantial financial assistance to enable educational advancement.
