About this opportunity
The Doris Burnett Ford Scholarship provides financial support to students studying musical composition at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney. Established in 1994 from the estate of Joan Scott Cocks in memory of her mother, Doris Burnett Ford, this scholarship is awarded to assist outstanding students enrolled in either coursework or research degrees. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit, portfolio and/or performance, and for postgraduate research applicants, on research achievements and potential. The scholarship value and duration are determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and stipulated in the scholarship offer letter to successful recipients. No application is necessary as eligible students are automatically considered as part of their admission application to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
