Doris Southcott Bursary

The Doris Southcott Bursary is available for the 2025/26 academic year at Bath Spa University. It assists recipients with funding activities or purchases related to their Fashion Design or Textile Design studies. The bursary supports the purchase of equipment and materials required for coursework including printing credits, contributes towards fashion design and textiles-related trips and activities to locations such as Paris, Japan, Stroud and Eindhoven, and funds student fashion shows including student contributions and additional costs. The bursary is available to students aged 18-25 who are studying Fashion Design or Textile Design at Bath Spa University, with their permanent residence before coming to university being in Somerset, North Somerset, or Bath and North East Somerset. Awards range from £500 to £1,500 for undergraduate students over three years, and £150-£300 per year for postgraduate students, depending on household income and study mode.
