Hall Nursing Scholarship is awarded to the graduating nursing student who achieves first standing in Nursing 401 (Nursing and Population Health) at the University of Prince Edward Island. This scholarship recognizes academic excellence in nursing education and honors the legacy of Dr. Dorothy C. Hall, who dedicated her career to advancing the role of nursing in primary health care both in Canada and internationally. Dr. Hall's work spanned several decades and included contributions in countries such as Afghanistan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India, and Denmark. She was instrumental in implementing the concept of the primary health care nurse practitioner in Ontario's provincial health care system.
