About this opportunity
The Dorothy E. Ann Fund (D.E.A.F.) provides scholarship support to qualified students who are deaf or hard of hearing and have demonstrated a strong academic record, financial need, and good character. The fund is designed to help students pursue full-time post-secondary education at specific institutions that specialize in deaf education or provide comprehensive support services. Priority is given to students attending Columbus State Community College, Gallaudet University, or the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology. The scholarship recognizes the unique educational needs of deaf and hard of hearing students and provides financial assistance to help them achieve their academic goals. Recipients must maintain full-time enrollment status and meet specific audiological requirements, including a minimum 80 dB hearing loss in both ears. The fund supports graduating high school seniors from seven counties in central Ohio who plan to attend educational institutions in the United States.
