Dorothy & Richard Barr Westmoreland County High School Scholarship Fund

The Dorothy and Richard Barr Scholarship Fund was created at The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County to provide scholarship support to Westmoreland County High School students who have demonstrated community leadership and strong academic performance. The scholarship is designed for graduating high school seniors residing in Westmoreland County, PA who plan to attend an accredited vocational or technical trade school or a 2- or 4-year college or university. Applicants must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above and demonstrate community leadership through volunteer activities both inside and outside of school. This is a single-year award with varying amounts, and preference is given to applicants who show strong community leadership involvement.
