Douglas E Smith Medal in Arts

The Douglas E Smith Medal in Arts is awarded annually to the convocating student from the BA program (other than BA Honors) who has shown the highest distinction in scholarship based on the convocation average. This award recognizes outstanding academic achievement in the Bachelor of Arts program at the University of Alberta. Recipients are automatically considered based on their completed General Application, with no separate application required. The medal is funded through an endowment by the Faculty of Arts.
