About This Opportunity
The Douglas Gifford Travel Fund is open to Spanish-speaking students from any school at the University of St Andrews undertaking a study or research visit to Mexico, Central America or South America. This fund was established in 1989 to mark the retirement of the late Professor Douglas Gifford and is administered by the School of Modern Languages. Applications will be considered by a panel chaired by the Head of the Department of Spanish. The successful applicant or applicants will be selected based on the overall strength of their application(s). Funding may be used to help cover the costs of travel or accommodation, as well as other directly related costs such as equipment costs. Funding must be used within 18 months of the date of award.
