About this opportunity
A scholarship valued at $1,500, awarded to a master's or doctoral student registered full-time in the School of Optometry & Vision Science in the Faculty of Science at the University of Waterloo. Selection is based on academic excellence and the student's demonstrated research interest in understanding the mechanisms, diagnosis and treatment options for ocular diseases or other visual impairments. This fund is made possible by a donation from Douglas Ingleton. The scholarship supports graduate research focused on ocular diseases such as glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration, or other visual impairments. Students must have a minimum cumulative average of 80% or equivalent. The School of Optometry & Vision Science identifies candidates and selects a recipient normally in the winter term with payment made in the spring term.
