Dr. Albert F. Olmstead Memorial Award

The Dr. Albert F. Olmstead Memorial Award is presented annually to a second-year Veterinary Medicine student from Atlantic Canada who demonstrates interest and commitment to bovine veterinary medicine. Dr. Albert F. Olmstead was a large animal (provincial) veterinarian in his home province of New Brunswick for over 30 years. He interacted with numerous students and veterinarians and was widely respected as a dedicated, knowledgeable, professional, patient man with a good sense of humor. The Dr. Albert F. Olmstead Memorial Award fund was established at UPEI by family and friends as well as clients and colleagues from the New Brunswick Provincial Veterinary Services. The award is presented annually at the Atlantic Veterinary College Recognition Night.
