Dr. Alice Gillam Scholarship

The Dr. Alice Gillam scholarship is awarded to a currently-enrolled graduate student in the Department of English at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee whose work exemplifies the intellectual and humane discipline of rhetoric and composition. The recipient is selected by the faculty in the Department of English, and no formal student application is required. Students participate by uploading their essay, which must be free of any identifying information to ensure blind review. The award is announced in the spring semester and paid in the following fall semester for awardees who are enrolled at UWM that fall. This scholarship honors Dr. Alice Gillam's contributions to the field of rhetoric and composition.
