About This Opportunity
The Dr. and Mrs. Jerry Heath Sports Medicine Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate sophomore or junior students enrolled full-time at Eastern Illinois University. Preference is given to varsity athletes who show interest and aptitude for the field of sports medicine. The scholarship also gives preference to students with a declared major in Pre-Medicine or closely associated field of study, and to those receiving no other athletic scholarships. Financial need is the determining factor among otherwise equally qualified applicants. Recipients may apply for and receive the award again provided they continue to meet the eligibility criteria. The award is announced in the spring and awarded in the fall semester.
