Dr. Barbara L. Hill Memorial Scholarship

The Dr. Barbara L. Hill Memorial Scholarship supports full-time undergraduate and graduate students at Eastern Illinois University who are pursuing teacher certification. The scholarship requires recipients to maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA in their major and be currently enrolled in a teacher certification program or accepted to a graduate program at EIU. The Selection Committee evaluates applicants based on a required essay, giving special consideration to service and professional involvement, academic achievement, scholarship, and leadership. Financial need may also be considered at the discretion of the Selection Committee. The award is announced in the spring and awarded in the fall, and recipients may reapply in subsequent years provided they continue to meet the eligibility criteria.
