Dr. Barbara R. Campbell Inspiration Award

The Dr. Barbara R. Campbell Inspiration Award is awarded to a returning student who is a single parent in good academic standing with preference given to a student who has demonstrated volunteerism on campus and/or in the broader community, who intends to pursue an international experience as part of their UPEI education and/or desires to become a global citizen. This award was established in recognition of Dr. Barbara R. Campbell's widespread contributions to the university and community. Dr. Campbell holds a PhD in Nursing, is a professor at UPEI, director of UPEI's Webster Centre for Teaching and Learning, and has been appointed as advisor for international relations to the President of the University of Prince Edward Island. The award stems from a $1000 recognition award given to Dr. Campbell by the Senior Women Academic Administrators of Canada, which she donated to support a worthy student at UPEI. This continues Dr. Campbell's history of giving back to her students, family, university and community.
