Dr. Bohdan Michalyshyn Scholarship in Surgery

The Dr. Bohdan Michalyshyn Scholarship in Surgery is awarded to a student with superior academic achievement who is convocating from the fourth year of study for a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Alberta. The scholarship recognizes students who have demonstrated significant participation in surgery electives and/or have been matched into general surgery residency programs. This endowed scholarship, established by Dr. Bohdan Michalyshyn, supports medical students pursuing careers in surgical specialties. Recipients are automatically considered based on their completed General Application and must meet the academic excellence and surgery-focused criteria.
