Dr. Constance Ida MacFarlane Prize

The Dr. Constance Ida MacFarlane Prize is awarded to a Biology student, preferably a graduating student with particular botanical interests, at the University of Prince Edward Island. The award was established by Dr. Constance Ida MacFarlane, who created several awards during her lifetime. This prize is part of the Dr. Constance Ida MacFarlane Fund (account #570044), which supports both the Dr. Constance Ida MacFarlane Scholarship and this prize. On July 17, 2000, UPEI received a bequest of $3,000 from the Estate of Dr. MacFarlane, which formed an additional account creating the Henry Havelock MacFarlane Ecology Award. This gift was in addition to previous gifts to UPEI that endowed awards in multiple accounts. The prize recognizes academic achievement and interest in botanical studies within the Faculty of Science.
