About this opportunity
One scholarship is awarded to an academically outstanding graduate student in the Department of Geography at the University of Victoria who is doing research on a topic related to environmental conservation and resource management. Research topics may include water management, coastal resources, biodiversity, forests, and the impact of climate change. Preference is given to students whose research focuses on the area of East, South or Southeast Asia. The recipient is selected by the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee upon recommendation from the Department of Geography. This is a nomination-based award requiring no application from students, and recipients must normally maintain an A- average and be enrolled as full-time graduate students.
