Dr Dee Amy-Chinn Gender Studies Scholarship

University of Stirling Original Source

About This Opportunity

This scholarship for the MLitt / MSc Genders and Sexualities is funded by the family of Dr Dee Amy-Chinn, a much-loved colleague at the University of Stirling. Dr Dee Amy-Chinn was a lecturer in the Division of Communication, Media and Culture who was instrumental in founding the MLitt / MSc Genders and Sexualities programme. She died of bowel cancer in December 2015, and her family made a donation to fund these scholarships in her memory. Dr Amy-Chinn was the first in her family to attend university and was passionate about openness and fair treatment for all. These scholarships are designed to support students with diverse life experiences which have marked their journey to postgraduate study. The scholarship provides £2,000 paid in two instalments (September and January) for full-time students, or four instalments over two years for part-time students.
