Dr. Edward L. Curvish, Jr. Award

The Dr. Edward L. Curvish, Jr. Award was established in 2000 to support graduating American History majors at the University at Buffalo. The award gives preference to students entering the Graduate School of Education with a specialization in teaching American History at the secondary level. Selection is based on the submission of an outstanding paper on the U.S. Constitution, with special preference given to papers focusing on the Second Amendment. This scholarship recognizes academic excellence in American History and supports students pursuing careers in history education at the secondary school level.
