Dr Elsie Yanik Scholarship in Nursing

The Dr Elsie Yanik Scholarship in Nursing is awarded to students who are First Nation, Inuit, or Métis people of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2) with superior academic achievement enrolled in any year of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the Collaborative Program. The scholarship is endowed by Syncrude Canada Ltd in memory of Dr Elsie Yanik. Selection is based on academic standing, with preference given to students from northern Alberta or students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the Collaborative Program at Keyano College (Fort McMurray). Students are automatically considered for this award based on their completed General Application through the University of Alberta's scholarship platform.
