Dr F Lloyd Roberts Scholarship

The Dr F Lloyd Roberts Scholarship is awarded annually to a student with superior academic achievement who is deemed to be the most outstanding convocating student in the MD program in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta. The recipient will be chosen on the basis of academic standing in all studies in medicine. This scholarship was endowed by Dr. Roberts' mother, Mrs. Beatrice Kerr of Edmonton, with the support of his children. Dr. Roberts was born in Edmonton in 1921 and served as a fighter pilot during WWII before graduating from the School of Medicine, University of London England in 1952. He practiced medicine in both England and Canada until his death in 1974. Students are automatically considered for this scholarship based on their completed General Application.
