Dr. Gary McPherson Leadership Scholarship

The Dr. Gary McPherson Leadership Scholarship is an annual scholarship offered by the Government of Alberta to full-time post-secondary students at designated Alberta institutions. The scholarship recognizes outstanding leadership qualities, particularly in the area of disability, and/or initiative to improve the lives of other people while attending a post-secondary institution in Alberta. This scholarship is valued at $2,000 per award and provides 15 awards annually. The program is open to both undergraduate and graduate students across any faculty. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents currently living in Alberta. The scholarship aims to support students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and community engagement during their post-secondary education. Applications are made through the My UCalgary Portal via Alberta Student Aid Awards, making it part of the government-funded student support initiatives in Alberta.
