About this opportunity
The Dr. Gary McPherson Leadership Scholarship was created in 2011 by Alberta Student Aid to recognize post-secondary students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, especially in the area of disability, and/or initiative to improve the conditions and lives of all people while attending post-secondary studies in Alberta. The scholarship awards $2,000 to eligible students who are Canadian citizens and Alberta residents enrolled full-time in a post-secondary program at a designated Alberta institution. Applicants must demonstrate leadership skills, particularly in the area of disability, and show commitment to improving conditions in the lives of other Albertans. Lakeland College students must submit their applications to the Financial Aid & Awards office at Lakeland College.
