The Dr. Gordon MacDonald Award in Mathematics is granted to a Mathematics major or honours student who, in the opinion of the SMCS Awards Committee, achieves the highest academic performance in the third year of the program. This award was established by Dr. Gordon MacDonald, Associate Dean of the UPEI School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences, to recognize a deserving student in third year mathematics at the University of Prince Edward Island. The award recognizes academic excellence and achievement in mathematics during the third year of study.
