About this opportunity
The Dr Hooi Chew Scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship valued at up to $8,500 per annum to support students from rural or regional Australia undertaking degrees in the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering, or Faculty of Medicine and Health (excluding the Sydney Nursing School) at the University of Sydney. Established in 2024, this scholarship has been generously funded by Dr Hooi Chew to encourage and support students experiencing financial hardship. The scholarship is tenable for up to 4 years of full-time study or part-time equivalent, with payments made in two equal instalments each semester after the census date. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 50 each semester and continue to meet their course progression requirements.
