Dr HR MacLean Memorial Scholarship

The Dr HR MacLean Memorial Scholarship is an annual award presented to a student with superior academic achievement entering the final year of the Dental Program at the University of Alberta. The scholarship recognizes excellence in academic standing, leadership, and sportsmanship. Recipients are selected based on their character and potential to make a distinguished contribution to the Dental Profession and Community. This endowed scholarship was established by family, friends, and colleagues in memory of Dr Hector R MacLean, former Dean and Professor Emeritus of the Faculty of Dentistry, in recognition of his lifelong contributions to the practice, education, research, and organization of dentistry at both national and international levels. The award may be withheld if no sufficiently deserving candidate is available.
