About This Opportunity

The Dr. Jean Downie Dey Memorial Award is one or more awards given to graduate students in the Faculty of Education at the University of Victoria to support travel within Canada or internationally. The award is designed to help students attend or present at conferences, workshops, or engage in other related travel that supports their academic studies. Preference is given to students pursuing language and literacy or early childhood education. The award is administered by the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee upon recommendation from the Faculty of Education. Recipients are selected based on nominations from eligible academic units, and no application is required from students. Normally, the minimum requirement for consideration is an A- average along with any additional criteria established by the donor. Unless otherwise noted, students must be enrolled full-time in graduate studies to be eligible.
