Dr. Judith Barter Scholarship

The Dr. Judith Barter Scholarship provides financial support for students pursuing the Graduate Certificate in Public History at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. This scholarship is specifically designed to facilitate unpaid or underpaid internships in the public history field, helping to offset the financial burden students may face when taking on internship positions that offer limited or no compensation. Students who wish to be considered for this award must apply to the Charles Hyde Internship Award. Recipients are automatically considered based on their completed General Application through the UMass Amherst scholarship portal.
