Dr Karl Ivarson Bar None Undergraduate Leadership Scholarship

The Dr Karl Ivarson Bar None Undergraduate Leadership Scholarship is awarded to a student with superior academic achievement entering or enrolled in the third or fourth year of specific Bachelor of Science degree programs at the University of Alberta. The scholarship recognizes students in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences who demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities through involvement in extracurricular and community activities, combined with strong academic achievement. This endowed scholarship was established by Karl Ivarson, a distinguished graduate of the University of Alberta (BSc Agriculture 1951, MSc Soil Science 1953), to support the next generation of leaders in agricultural and environmental sciences. Students are eligible to receive one Bar None award or scholarship in any given academic year, and recipients are automatically considered based on their completed General Application.
