About this opportunity

Established in 2016, this scholarship has been generously donated and established by Dr Lawrence F Smith to assist an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student studying in the area of dentistry at the University of Sydney. The Scholarship is valued at $6,000 and is tenable for one year only. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit, demonstrated evidence of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander identity, demonstrated evidence of financial need, and a personal statement. Applicants must have an unconditional admission offer or be currently enrolled full-time in the Doctor of Dental Medicine or Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Sydney. The scholarship supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students pursuing careers in dentistry and oral health.
