Dr. Marguerite Lambert Leng WISEST Rising Star Scholarship

The Dr. Marguerite Lambert Leng WISEST Rising Star Scholarship is awarded to a student with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate degree program in the Faculty of Science at the University of Alberta. The scholarship specifically targets students who have participated in the WISEST (Women in Scholarship, Engineering, Science and Technology) Summer Research Program and are pursuing an Honors or Specialization degree program in Biochemistry. If a qualified candidate cannot be found in Biochemistry, eligible students pursuing either a Specialization or Honors degree program in Chemistry or declaring a Chemistry major in the General degree program will be considered, provided all other requirements are met. The selection is based on the applicant's admission average, recognizing academic excellence at the undergraduate entry level.
