Dr. Marlene Reimer Nursing Scholarship

The Dr. Marlene Reimer Nursing Scholarship is offered annually to an undergraduate student entering the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary, specifically through the Degree Holder or Transfer Route. The scholarship honors Dr. Marlene Reimer, who was a member of the University of Calgary's Faculty of Nursing from 1984-2005. Dr. Reimer's commitment and lasting contributions to neuroscience nursing, leadership in research and education, improved many lives and left those who knew her inspired by her example. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, specifically the admission average to the Bachelor of Nursing program. Preference is given to students whose home address is in a rural community. The award provides up to $1,500 to support one deserving nursing student each year.
