Dr Michael C Koilpillai Memorial Prize in Neurology

The Dr Michael C Koilpillai Memorial Prize in Neurology is awarded annually to an outstanding resident in Neurology at the University of Alberta. The prize recognizes excellence based on academic merit, personal commitment, and exemplary qualities. This memorial prize was established through endowed funds by the family, friends, and colleagues of the late Dr Michael Chakravarthy Koilpillai to cherish his memory and honour his devotion and commitment to the medical profession. Dr Koilpillai was a graduate of the University of Alberta and was a young practicing psychiatrist and resident in Neurology at the University of Alberta Hospital at the time of his sudden and premature death. The award is administered through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta.
