Dr Mike Sargent Scholarship

The Dr Mike Sargent Scholarship is awarded to domestic students enrolled in engineering programs at The University of Queensland who demonstrate exceptional interest in entrepreneurship and innovation. The scholarship was established in 2022 and is maintained by an annual gift from Dr Bobbie Sutton and Associate Professor Peter Sutton. The scholarship provides $5,000 for one year to support undergraduate and honours engineering students who show leadership potential and creative excellence. Selection is based on demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship through co-curricular and extracurricular activities, strength of personal qualities including leadership potential, and other factors relevant to the applicant's future success at UQ and in their subsequent career.
