About this opportunity
The Dr. Naiyer Habib and Mrs. Mahlaqa Naushaba Habib: Pioneers of Community, Cardiology, and Health Scholarship was established in 2024 to create an endowed graduate scholarship in the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research at the University of Regina. Dr. Naiyer Habib headed cardiology over two decades in Regina, Saskatchewan, and is recognized as a pioneer of Cardiology services in Regina. The scholarship supports graduate students in their first year of studies in the MA/MSC in Aging Studies program who demonstrate evidence of academic excellence. Recipients must be registered and remain registered in a minimum of 6 credit hours in the term the award is presented. As an additional benefit, the scholarship recipient will receive a copy of the book History of the Muslims of Regina, Saskatchewan, and Their Organizations authored by Naiyer Habib and Mahlaqa Naushaba Habib.
