Dr. Ninian N. LeBlanc Alumni Award

The Dr. Ninian N. LeBlanc Alumni Award is presented to a deserving first-year UPEI student who is a graduate of a Prince Edward Island high school, has a strong academic record, demonstrated financial need, and is not already on a renewable scholarship. This award honours Dr. LeBlanc's outstanding contribution to UPEI and continues his life's work of assisting students achieve their educational goals. Dr. Ninian LeBlanc taught biology to thousands of students during his thirty years as a professor at Prince of Wales College and UPEI, demonstrating personal commitment to his students and dedication to establishing a high standard of excellence for PEI's new University. The award is renewable for four years consecutively, provided recipients maintain full-time registration status and the academic requirements of 75% in first year and 80% in subsequent years. The award will be presented at Deans' Honours and Awards banquet in October.
