Dr. Norma Jean Murphy Master of Nursing Award

The Dr. Norma Jean Murphy Master of Nursing Award is granted to a student that has graduated from UPEI's Faculty of Nursing four-year BSc Nursing or Accelerated BSc Nursing program who is continuing their studies in a graduate program in the Faculty of Nursing at UPEI, and who demonstrates compassion and a focus on nursing research. Preference for this award will be given to a student pursuing a thesis-based (research) graduate degree. This endowed award was established by Dr. Norma Jean Murphy, a generous UPEI donor and former student, to recognize service and leadership and express gratitude for her years at UPEI, her dedication to her profession, and her commitment to lifelong learning. The award is part of her legacy in memory of her parents, Cletus and Edna, whose presence continues to be felt even in their absence.
