Dr P Håkanssons Stiftelse Forskningsstöd

Dr Per Håkanssons stiftelse has since 1920 distributed grants and stipends for scientific research in the subject areas of medical chemistry, physiology, and food chemistry. The 2026 research support, totaling 8,000,000 SEK, will be distributed to younger researchers at Swedish universities. Each grant/stipend has in previous years ranged between 500,000-1,000,000 SEK. Projects can be recommended for two-year grants. The research support is given to young researchers at Swedish universities who excel in the areas of physiology, medical chemistry, and food chemistry (functional food). Research support is given to doctoral researchers in early career who must be active with a focus on food and health. The research support is preferably given to researchers who present research projects that are deemed to be of significance for major public diseases. Highest priority is given to projects in areas where diet/food is of significance for prevention and/or treatment.
