About this opportunity
The Dr Peter Domachuk Scholarship supports current and commencing PhD students studying at the School of Physics at the University of Sydney. This scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student who is undertaking research in the School of Physics. The scholarship is funded by donation from Katrina Drake, in honour of her husband, Dr Peter Domachuk. Preference is given to students completing research in photonics and/or optical science, or those who themselves or their family members hold or have held refugee or asylum seeker status. The scholarship is valued at $9000 per year and is tenable for one year only, paid as a one-off payment. Recipients will be selected based on area of study, a personal statement, and academic merit.
