Dr. R. A. Curtis Bovine Award

The Dr. R. A. Curtis Bovine Award is presented to the graduating student in Veterinary Medicine at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) who stands first in the class in academic excellence, clinical competence, and general interest in bovine medicine. This award was established by Dr. R. A. (Bob) Curtis, a bovine clinician who served for many years and was the first chair of the Department of Health Management at AVC. The award aims to promote the quality and quantity of bovine practitioners graduating from AVC through financial assistance for external electives in bovine practice. It further consolidates the training of students with established interest and background in bovine practice, supporting the development of skilled veterinary professionals specializing in bovine health care.
