Dr. R. A. Curtis Bovine Externship Award

The Dr. R. A. Curtis Bovine Externship Award is awarded to three third-year Veterinary Medicine Canadian students who demonstrate interest and/or commitment to bovine practice and a willingness to engage in an external elective outside of Atlantic Canada in the area of bovine practice. Dr. R. A. (Bob) Curtis was a bovine clinician for many years and was the first chair of the Department of Health Management at AVC. He wishes to promote the quality and quantity of bovine practitioners graduating from AVC through the financial assistance of external electives in bovine practice, and to further consolidate the training of students with established interest and background in bovine practice.
