Dr. R. Joseph Naples and Claire Naples Scholarship Fund

The Dr. R. Joseph Naples and Claire Naples Scholarship Fund was established by Dr. R. Joseph Naples, MD '46 and Mrs. Claire Naples in 2019 to support medical students at the University at Buffalo. This scholarship is specifically designed for 3rd or 4th year medical students who demonstrate financial need and have strong ties to Western New York. The scholarship gives preference to students who have previously received the Dr. Ange S. Naples Memorial Scholarship, honoring the family's legacy of supporting medical education. Recipients must be U.S. citizens who graduated from a high school in Western New York, including the counties of Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, Wyoming, and Steuben. Students must complete the FAFSA to demonstrate financial need as part of the application process.
