About This Opportunity

The Dr. Rowland Smith Memorial Scholarship is offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Calgary. The scholarship honors Dr. Rowland Smith, who was Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and a Rhodes Scholar from South Africa who came to Canada in the 1960s. This award reflects Dr. Smith's commitment to international education and cultural exchange. The scholarship is funded by the Faculty of Humanities, friends, and colleagues of Dr. Rowland Smith.
